Today was Abby's 2-week checkup to the doctor. No shots, just a well baby check to make sure all is going ok and it is! She weighed in at 9 lbs 8 oz, much growth since her birth weight of 8 lbs 11 oz!! We are so proud of her. She has had some issues with reflux which I mentioned in the last post. Gage and Sydney both had problems, as well. It is hard to watch her awake from sleeping and know she is having acid reflux problems that cause her pain through her chest and tummy. We are going to start her on a soy formula and do that for 2 weeks, then if it doesn't improve the issue, we will start her on daily doses of Zantac.
All else has been uneventful. Abby still likes to sleep quite a bit and loves it when mommy rocks her to sleep in the rocking chair. She gets up twice a night to eat, but goes right back to bed. We had our first diaper blowout on Saturday. :) YUCKY!
She also met mommy's co-workers today. We went downtown and joined my team in a fun holiday luncheon, gift exchange and Elf viewing. Tuesday, we will be heading to Gage and Sydney's school for their Holiday Program. It should be a fun day.
Wednesday begins the Winter break for both kids and they will be off for 2 weeks. They are going to spend a few days at their all-day program, Kids Network, rather than being cooped up at home with mom the whole time. They will have fun.
We are looking forward to a fun Christmas with family! This year, we will miss all of those that can't be here to celebrate Christmas with us, especially my brother, Cody!
